Job Summary

Job Title:Wholesale Parts Sales

Department: Parts

Reports To: Parts Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Prepared By: Human Resource Department

SUMMARY

Sells parts and accessories to wholesale parts customers and actively solicits wholesale accounts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Essential Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assists wholesale account customers in selecting required parts or accessories in a friendly professional and efficient manner.
  • Replenish assigned inventory as needed.
  • Sets up orders for daily shipment delivery or pick-up.
  • Locates or orders parts as needed.
  • Prepares invoices for parts to be delivered to wholesale customers.
  • Maintains and solicits wholesale accounts in person and by telephone.
  • Participates with the parts manager in maintaining a lost sales tracking program.
  • Keeps parts manager informed on the status of accounts.
  • Maintains professional appearance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of two yearsautomotive parts salesrelated experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
