Position Summary:
Were looking for a Finisher Grind/Sand to join our precision metal fabrication team. This position is responsible for grinding sanding deburring and polishing metal parts to meet exact specifications and finish standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform grinding sanding and finishing operations on sheet metal welds and fabricated components.
- Use power tools (grinders sanders deburring tools and polishing equipment) safely and effectively.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and aesthetic standards.
- Follow blueprints work orders and production instructions.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
- Communicate with team members and supervisors about part quality materials and process improvements.
- Perform routine maintenance on finishing tools and report equipment issues promptly.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related trade preferred.
Experience operating Amada or similar fabrication machinery a plus.

Skills & Competencies:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of fabrication processes.
- Previous experience in metal finishing grinding or sanding preferred (manufacturing or fabrication environment).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or work instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
- Ability to use calipers micrometers and other precision measuring tools.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding tolerances.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
