MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Eight (8) or more years of hands-on experience providing Microsoft SQL Server database administration and development support in enterprise environments. Experience must include SQL Server installation configuration maintenance performance tuning high availability disaster recovery replication and ETL/reporting support in large-scale multi-tiered production environments.

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

• ABachelors Degree in Computer Scienceor a related technical field is. Fifteen (15) years of applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) SQL Server 2012/2014 or SQL Server 2016
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Data Management and Analytics Data Platform or Business Intelligence

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE AREAS PREFERRED:

Eight (8) or more years of experience in database administration system analysis design development and support of Microsoft SQL Server environments.
Seven (7) or more years of experience installing configuring andmaintainingSQL Server in enterprise environments.
Five (5) or more years of experience as a SQL Server Developer with extensiveexpertiseinSSIS and SSRS.
Proven experience performing SQL Server upgrades and migrations including from SQL Server 2008 to 2012/2016.
Extensive experience supporting high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
StrongexpertisewithT-SQL relational database design and data integrity enforcement.
Experience supporting SQL Server security configurations and access management.
Experience supporting virtualized SQL Server environments usingVMware.
Strong ability to work independently in an on-site operational role.
Strong oral and written communication skills.

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides on-site expert-level administration and support for Microsoft SQL Server environments in production development and replication settings.
Performs installation configuration patching upgrades and maintenance ofMicrosoft SQL Server().
Serves as the primary on-site escalation resource for complex SQL Server issues and performance challenges.
Coordinates with Microsoft Subject Matter Experts and whenfacilitatesvendor support engagements to resolve critical issues.
Performs database backup recovery and disaster recovery operations to ensure data availability and integrity.
Designs implements and supportshigh-availability solutions including Failover Clustering Database Mirroring and Log Shipping.
Configures and managesActive/Passive and Active/Active clusteringenvironments.
Implements and manages SQL Serverreplication models including Snapshot Merge and Transactional Replication.
Supports SQL Server environmentsoperatinginvirtualized infrastructures including VMware-based deployments.
Performs advanced database performance tuning query optimization and capacity planning.
Conducts database consistency checks and integrity validation usingDBCC utilities.
Develops andmaintainsdatabase objects usingT-SQL including tables views triggers functions indexes and relational data models.
Manages SQL Server security including authentication authorization roles permissions andaccess controls.
Supports ETL reporting and analytics solutions usingSSIS SSRS and SSAS.
Works directly with onsite stakeholders to gather requirements analyze needs and implement effective database solutions.
Documents database configurations standards procedures and operational activitiesin accordance withDCoEpolicies
