Job Summary
Shift: 2nd shiftJob Description
Set-up adjust and operate shaft press machines. Duties include but are not limited to pressing shafts mandrels and tubes in/out of rotor. Maintain and regulate oven temperatures and times to follow set procedures. Daily/weekly TPM tasks must be performed with accuracy and consistency. Six thousand (6000) hours experience required to acquire operating skills and knowledge of pressing techniques. Perform other duties as designated by the supervisor in the same salary grade and below.
If desired by the employee and deemed beneficial by the Company any employee in this classification may upon certification obtain a forklift license and be permitted to operate a gas or electric powered forklift truck to move material within their department and classification.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Vocational or High school graduate plus a formal training program or equivalent on-the-job training required to perform work and acquire knowledge of shaft pressing methods and procedures.
Must be a sole US citizen.
