We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Commercial and Investment Bank - Securitized Products Group team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Executes standard software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting
Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
Designs develops codes and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
Learns and applies system processes methodologies and skills for the development of secure stable code and systems
Adds to team culture of curiosity opportunity inclusion and respect

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as .Net and C#
Experience in developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
Hand-on experience with relational databases (e.g. Oracle)
Experience in Operating Systems such as Linux
Emerging knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence etc.)
Hands on Experience in system design application development testing (including automated testing) and operational stability
Proficient in developing and implementing solutions using React and Apache Kafka

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

Financial Services experience
Hands on experience with Java
Exposure to cloud platformssuch as AWS
