Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor the Customer Service Representative will be responsible for interacting with customers over the phone or via email to identify needs and determine appropriate action or escalate for further review. May provide quotes process sales order document customer complaints and respond to customer service needs including shipment billing and warranty issues and basic product inquiries. May provide in-house training on non-technical customer support.
This position is part of a larger collaborative service team located in Loveland Colorado and will be hybrid (3 days in the office 2 days from home).
In this role a typical day will look like:
- Providingpromptaccurateanswers to internal and external customers throughtelephone email and chat.
- Setting up new customer accounts and enterscustomertransactions
- Assistingwith requests on pricing shipping product availability terms and conditions and item information
- Assistingcustomers indeterminingproduct needs and providing basicassistanceon products
- Actingas liaisonandcustomer advocate interfacing with other Hach departments
- Ensuringlong-term customer relationships byutilizingprofessional customer service skills
- Identifyingsales opportunities and offering suggestions for complementary items to the customer
- Identifying andsubmittingsales leads
The essential requirements of the job include:
- High School diploma required. An associates or Bachelors degree in a science-related field is preferred.
- 3-5years experience in customer service roles.
- Expressed aptitude for working in Environmental Science Biology Chemistry or related field.
- Ability to resolve customer complaints as well as provide follow-up to customers and supervisor
- Demonstrated computer proficiency. Experience with Microsoft Office required Salesforce and Oracle preferred.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $23.00 - $28.00 USD per job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
