Job Summary

Works under the supervision of the Med-Surg Nurse Manager. The Staff RN assesses plans implements evaluates and supervises individual patient care on the nursing unit according to established policies procedures and guidelines. Accepts responsibility for the direction of co-workers in the implementation of the patient s plan of care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

(50%)* Provides nursing care using the Nursing Process by: Completing nursing assessment of patient and documenting appropriately in the patient chart. Develops a plan of care based upon the assessment of the patient. Implements plan of care and documents in the chart.

(30%)* Evaluates patient s response to care and updates plan of care.

(20%)* Oversees the delegation of specifics of the patient plan of care to unit staff.

General Med/Surg (Oncology Obs Hospice Medical & Surgical Patients)
Requirement description :

2 years of Med Surg experience - REQUIRED
Will not accept more than 3 days of RTO.
Med/Surg Observation Experience - REQUIRED
Recent travel work experience - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction for ONLY 1-13week contract)
ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)

BLS (AHA)

STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :

Michigan

ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS : Must be active!
Weekend Requirements : Every Other Weekend/Holiday
On Call Requirements : No Call
