AR Cash Application Specialist (Advanced Excel Required)
- Location: Mason OH 45040 (Hybrid - Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday onsite)
- Duration: 3 Months with possible Extension
- Work Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Pay Rate: $21.43/hr. W2
- MUST HAVE EXCEL SKILLS MUST KNOW PIVOT TABLES AND V-LOOKUP
- Excel test must be administered BEFORE the interview is scheduled
Role Overview
The AR Cash Application Specialist will support the Finance Operations Cash Applied team assisting with high-volume cash receipts processing account reconciliation and A/R support to help the team maintain turnaround timelines following recent attrition.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily processing of cash receipts and postings to customer accounts including charging payments made by credit card handling credits/debits and account write-offs
- Identify daily unapplied amounts post to customer accounts call on back-up and provide Accounts Receivable (A/R) support
- Maintain records for auditing purposes including filing remittances bank statements and approved write-offs
- Receive and record US trade export and intercompany payments received via lockbox EFTs wire transfers and credit cards
- Support center management and the A/R Manager on matters related to cash receipts applications collections and bankruptcies
- Encode and balance checks received to cash receipts and encoding machine totals
- Interact closely with Collections Specialists and Deductions Specialists
- Perform daily importation and balancing of sales batches
Basic Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (mandatory)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work in both team-based and independent environments
- Strong customer service and communication skills both oral and written
- High level of confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to quickly grasp and retain information
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Experience in customer service or insurance-related processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency
- Works well under pressure
- Knowledge of vision and/or insurance benefits
- Understanding of third-party benefits and administration
- Ability to promote integrity and a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
