JOB DESCRIPTION

St. Thomas Aquinas Regional Secondary School (STA) is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic part-time Science 10 teacher for a temporary teaching assignment from January 27 to March 29 2026.

This position consists of three Science 10 blocks in a high school setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach three blocks of Science 10 in accordance with the BC curriculum
  • Plan prepare and deliver engaging well-structured lessons
  • Assess and evaluate student learning and provide timely feedback
  • Maintain a positive respectful and well-managed classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with students parents and colleagues
  • Contribute to the Catholic faith-based and community-centered culture of STA

Qualifications:
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate
  • Experience teaching Science 10 or junior secondary science preferred
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the school
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment

On an on-going basis we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
