University of Washington Medical Center-Montlake;s Cardiac Cath Lab has an outstanding opportunity for a REGISTERED NURSE (RN).

WORK SCHEDULE

100% FTE
Days 10-hr shifts (4 per week with rotating day off)
On-Call shifts

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The Heart Institute at UW Medical Center Montlake & SLU provides a full range of heart healthcare and prevention services including general cardiology cardiac diagnostic imaging tests and procedures cardiac surgery arrhythmia management and electrophysiology interventional cardiology structural heart services advanced heart failure management heart transplant and ventricular assist devices (VADs) adult congenital heart disease management cardiac psychiatry cardiovascular genetics and other advanced services.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Ongoing care of procedural patients providing moderate sedation per UWMC policy documentation in EPIC monitoring and circulating diagnostic and complex interventional cardiology procedures
May participate in performance improvement and CQI activities within the department
Effectively communicate with physicians and other staff about changes in the patients condition including hemodynamic monitoring and symptom
Respond quickly and accurately to changes or needs based on the patient assessments
Takes Cath Lab On-Call after regular department hours according to a monthly schedule

REQUIREMENTS

Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington
Previous Cardiac Cath Lab experience or at least 2 years of cardiac ICU experience
Current BLS & ACLS

$94824.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$173976.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$10000 Sign-On Bonus $1/hour BSN premium On Call pay Relocation available
