Position Summary

ThePainter/Packeris responsible forpaintingmanufactured products using spray painting equipment. They alsopacklabeland boxfinished products.Theyfollowstandard practices and procedurestoensure thatpainting and packingisperformed in an efficient manner.Theyalsomaintainnecessarytools andmaterialsneeded forpainting andpackingkeep their workspace clean andorganized and updatework performed in the Enterprise Resource Planning system.

Meet or exceed daily production requirements
100% accuracy on any inventory transactions and quality requirements
100% adherence to processes and material usage no deviations

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Reviews job information in ERPsystemdailytodetermineorders to process.
Maintains inventory of materialsand suppliesneeded forpainting products andpacking theproduction orders.
Selects appropriate paint color and connects spray gun to the pump.
Regulates the width and pressure of paint spray by adjusting the sprayer valves and nozzle as needed.
Directs spray onto the product surface using proper technique; may use brush for touch-ups as needed.
Checks for quality of paint job upon completion.
Maintains and cleans spraying equipment flushes out lines etc.
Packages finished products and any necessary materials manually in accordance with Manufacturing Process Sheets (MPS)and Bills of Material (BOM).
Obtains finished products that need packing based on orders in ERP system.
Inspects materials finished products and boxes at each step in the packing process to identify any visual defects.
Assembles labels and date stamps boxes.
Attaches name plates to products.
Inserts the finished products and any other necessary materials or paperwork into boxes.
Places packed products in appropriate area per packing requirements.
Rotates between different workstations as production needs require or to reduce fatigue.
Examines work completed by team members for accuracy and continued operations as well as safety.
Moves materials as needed.
Ensures maximum output for work area; manages time effectively in order to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes.
Performs final inspection for accurately packed products and quality; reports any issues to Team Lead or Supervisor.
Updates the ERP for work performed.
Maintains required documentation as directed.
Detects and reports improper operations faulty equipment defective materials and any unusual conditions to Team Lead and/or Supervisor.
Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition; ensures equipment is in good operating condition
Attends and participates in monthly safety meetings.
Adheres to all safety policies and wears personal protective equipment as required.
Performs other related duties as directed.

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalentpreferred
Minimum of 3 months of spray-paintingexperience in a production environment preferred
Competent to operatecomputerand complete basic data entry in systems
Must successfully learn specific responsibilities as assigned and adhere to production procedures
Proficient and functioning in job responsibilities and able to attain MPS training sign-off within 90 days
Physically able to operatespray paint equipment andhand tools.
Ability to push pullliftand/or move materials of up to 30lbs; capable of using hoists for materials over 30 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity including standing and lifting
Must wear personal protective equipment (masks for painting etc.)within approved guidelines includingbeing clean-shaven
Mustcompleteannual fit testingwith Safety for personal protective equipment including respirators
Capable of following verbal and/or written instruction
Attention to detail is essential for success
Well organized

Work Environment:

This position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position reports into the site every workday.

This position has no direct reports.
