Environmental Compliance Manager

Heidelberg Materials is one of the worlds largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9000 employees.
What Youll Be Doing
- Lead and implement EHS programs to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and permits (i.e. RCRA Clean Air Act Clean Water Act EPCRA TSCA etc.).
- Be the site expert in environmental compliance and company liaison during interactions with state and federal agencies.
- Drive a proactive safety culture through training coaching and employee engagement.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
- Investigate incidents and ensure timely resolution with root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
What Are We Looking For
- Proven ability to lead and influence EHS initiatives in industrial or manufacturing settings preferable in hazardous waste.
- Strong knowledge of EPA RCRA OSHA and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Strong technical knowledge to prepare reports analyze data.
- Skilled in conducting audits training and incident investigations.
- Effective communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach.
- Commitment to fostering a safe and compliant work environment.
- Requires 1 to 5 years experience in environmental health safety or engineering.
Work Environment
This role involves both office and field work including time spent at a GRR fully permitted hazardous waste treatment storage and disposal facility. Travel to various company locations may be required. The position may involve exposure to varying weather and environmental conditions.
