Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with an emphasis in foods and nutrition required.
- Minimum of one (1) of the following required:
- Credentialed as Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) by Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) though the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND).
- RD-eligible recent graduates of an accredited Dietetic Internship program must pass RD exam and obtain Montana licensure within ninety (90) days of hire. RD-eligible employees will practice under direct supervision of a licensed RD until this stipulation is met.
- Licensed by the Montana State Board of Medical Examiners to function as a Nutritionist required.
- A Registered Dietitian with a pending application for Nutrition Licensure with the Montana Board of Medical Examiners may practice under direct supervision of a licensed RD until licensure is approved.
- Required CPR vary by work location:
- Logan Health Medical Center: RQI Responder
- Logan Health Medical Fitness Center: Heartsaver CPR/AED
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in health care setting preferred.

Job Specific Duties:
- Applies the nutrition care process to deliver safe evidence-based care and education in general clinical practice. Seeksadditionalguidance in complex or novel situations while adhering to scope regulations and Logan Health policies.
- Screens accesses and identifies nutrition diagnosis provides nutrition intervention monitors and evaluates individuals.
- Participates in multi-disciplinary rounds attends department staff meetings and collaborates with other healthcare professionals.
- Exhibits a commitment to professionalism while undertaking all tasks and in all interactions with others.
- Effectively utilizes electronic health records (EHR) and clearly documents nutrition interventions outcomes and plan of care in a timely fashion.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of best practices within assigned clinical practice area.
- Participates in organizational and community events and projects that support Logan Healths clinical nutrition services including but not limited to performance improvement projects revisions of standards of care and development of patient education materials.
- Exhibits vigilance of unit specific and organizational wide budget constraints as evidenced by appropriate utilization of all resources.
- Prioritizes workload and demonstrates flexibility in job function to meet the demands of the department.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual As Needed or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods employee absences and vacations making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
