About The Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD):
The Harris County Community Supervision and Corrections Department (CSCD) is one of the largest probation departments in the United States supervising more than 70000 individuals and employing over 600 staff members across 6 locations. We provide a wide range of services including community supervision outpatient counseling cognitive-behavioral programming and residential treatment designed to strengthen our clients abilities and support their long-term success. With a focus on utilizing evidence-based practices we aim to improve outcomes and reduce recidivism for all clients under supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintain and support the Departments information and communications systems.
- Serves as a senior-level PC technician performing advanced and complex information technology assignments and providing technical expertise as needed.
- Performs all responsibilities at a Senior PC Technician level.
- Leads other PC Technicians in project work and directs issues as they arise.
- Provides technical support for specialized hardware and software used throughout the department and residential facilities.
- Provide level 1-3 technical support
- Install configure maintain and troubleshoot personal computer software and hardware.
- Install configure maintain and troubleshoot CCTV security hardware.
- Install configure and maintain other computer and network devices such as copiers printers scanners projectors televisions video conferencing equipment and fax machines.
- Provide user training for hardware software and other technical services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic network problems.
- Create and maintain user email and computer accounts.
- Coordinates deployment activities and acts as the onsite lead as directed by the IT Manager
- Train new PC Technicians in standard operations and procedures. Provides training on use of IT software used to resolve Help Desk issues.
- Travel to and support all department facilities as needed.
- Work irregular hours in response to Department needs.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Contributes to and helps create a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a cooperative and amicable manner with supervisors coworkers subordinates and members of the public.
- Work overtime as required.

Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent from an accredited educational institution.
- Three (3) -Five (5) years of computer hardware and software support experience.
Licensure:- Must have a valid Texas Drivers License.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:- Must possess exceptional written and strong verbal communication skills.

Preferences
- Certifications:
- CompTIA A and Network
- HDI Technical Support Professional (or equivalent HDI certification)
- IT Service Management certification (ITIL Foundation or higher preferred)
- Microsoft certification related to Modern Desktop / Windows 11 administration (e.g. Microsoft Endpoint or Modern Workplace certifications)
- Technical Experience:
- Demonstrated experience supporting Windows 11 and Windows 10 in an enterprise environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 including Office applications Outlook Teams and OneDrive
- Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory Group Policy and endpoint management tools
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting Panasonic Video Insight and Honeywell Pro-Watch systems (preferred)
- Education:
- Associate degree or higher in Computer Science Information Technology Electronics or a related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience may be considered.
General Information
Position Type and Typical Hours of Work:
- Regular Full-Time
- Hours will be discussed during departmental interview.
Salary:- $31.36 Hourly ($5436.34 Monthly) - $35.87 Hourly ($6218.32 Monthly)
- Depends on Qualifications
- Base in 26 pay period
Work Environment and Physical Demands:- While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in an office setting.
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle feel or operate objects tools or controls and to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand talk and hear.
