Responsibilities
Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers architects and general contractors (GCs) to determine project specifications and ensure all project requirements are met.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors securing favorable terms and managing relationships throughout the project.
Resource Management: Determine and allocate the necessary resources (manpower equipment materials) from start to finish ensuring alignment with budgetary limitations.
Construction Planning: Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Material Procurement: Acquire equipment and materials monitor inventory levels and address any shortages or inadequacies promptly.
Subcontractor Coordination: Hire and manage subcontractors ensuring they understand their responsibilities and deliver quality work on schedule.
Field Crew Monitoring: Oversee the work of field crews to ensure it meets quality standards and project deadlines.
Progress Evaluation: Regularly evaluate project progress preparing detailed reports to be shared with GCs and clients.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards reporting and addressing any issues to maintain a safe work environment.
Experience Required
--5 Years of Proven management experience in commercial concrete and masonry construction.
--Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word Excel Outlook and Microsoft Project; experience with Sage and Podio is a plus.
--Construction Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction procedures materials and project management principles.
--Safety Standards: Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards; OSHA certifications are an advantage.
--Communication: Outstanding communication and negotiation skills. Bi-Lingual in Spanish is a plus!
--Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
--Leadership: A team player with strong leadership capabilities.
--Certifications: PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. OSHA is a plus.
