Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) seeks MaintenanceTechnicians (HVAC Technician Plumber Electrician Low Voltage Electrician or Carpenter) to join our Facilities Team at Starfire Optical Range Kirtland AFB New Mexico supporting the USAF Space Domain Awareness program. To meet security standards and protocols all work is performed onsite at Kirtland AFT NM.
Starfire Optical Range is a world class research facility with recognized achievements in adaptive optics enabled by the quality enthusiasm and dedication of our entire team.
Position Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance renovations and construction on multiple research and development facilities including labs and equipment.
Troubleshoot and solve problems concerning building and utility systems.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3 years of experience in construction working on building systems in a commercial and industrial environment
Experience working with building codes and commercial construction interpreting highly complex drawings schematics and equipment manuals
Journeyman license in HVAC Technician Plumber Electrician Low Voltage Electrician OR Carpenter
Experience using hand and power tools to construct renovate and repair facilities and equipment
Willingness to work variable shifts including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
