Job Description

Harborview Medical Centers Centralized Transport Unit is seeking a CNA / Transporter.

WORK SCHEDULE

• 90% FTE (36 hours per week)

• Day shift

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Transporting patients and supplies to all areas of the hospital

• Completes transports in an efficient manner understanding the importance and impact of patient flow throughout the hospital

The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following functions:

• In collaboration with the Registered Nurse understands patient care needs and utilizes them during transport if necessary (i.e. oxygen)

• Utilize technology to respond to transport requests and escalate transport concerns

• Remains knowledgeable about safe transportation practices

• Utilizes effective and clear communication skills

Qualified candidates:

• Required: High school diploma or GED

• Required: Active Nursing Assistant-Certified (CNA) with the State of Washington

• A minimum of 1-year of CNA experience
