The Department of Natural Resources Support Services Divisionis recruiting for aRecorder 1 in Anchorage.


This position is open to Alaska Residents only.

What You Will Be Doing:

The Recorders Office provides recording and customer service for the State of Alaska. Daily tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Provide excellent customer service and assistance to the general public in person and by phone.
  • Examine and record documents electronically by mail and in person in accordance with state statutes and regulations.
  • Reject and return documents that do not meet recording requirements.
  • Processing fees cash handling receipting payments and balancing to ensure the deposit is correct.
  • Data entry by indexing and verifying information extracted from the recorded documents.

The Working Environment You Can Expect:

Located at the front entrance of the Atwood Building in downtown Anchorage. Walking distance to restaurants shopping and free covered parking. The Recorders Office is set up with comfortable spacious workstations.

Supplemental Questions

Copies of transcripts are required to verify educational credentials if used to meet the minimum qualifications for a position.

Alternatively an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution must report that the other institutions transcript is given full value or that full value is recognized in relevant subject areas aligned with the post-secondary institutions curricula.
