Job Summary
Introduction
Spar Group is currently recruiting for a Solution Architect - Warehouse and Logistics to join our dynamic team.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Solution Architect is accountable for the development of a technology architecture that meets the needs of a particular Portfolio within the broader Enterprise Architecture. This role works with the Enterprise Architect to oversee the implementation of the technology architecture within a particular Portfolio to ensure integrated planning and coherent outcomes. The Solution Architect assists the Portfolio Manager and Functional Head throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that the architecture design and solution delivery align with business needs and deliver business value.

- Work with key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure the architecture design and solution delivery aligns with business needs and delivers business value
- Implements architectural and design strategies (including methodologies) within Portfolio
- Oversee all systems design work with Portfolio
- Build and maintain strong relationships across Technology functions and projects to ensure integration of outcomes and enterprise systems coherence
- Build and maintain a business capability map with Portfolio that aligns to the overall business capability map
- Assist the Enterprise Architect to develop a reference systems architecture that delivers the business capabilities required at lowest cost and achieving greatest flexibility
- Work with the relevant functional Heads across different portfolios to roadmap the implementation of the reference architecture within the applicable portfolioAd hoc duties as required by management
Desired Experience & Qualification
- A Computer Science Commercial or related Bachelors degree
- Recognised technology architecture qualification (for example TOGAF certified)
- At least 10 years experience in technology design and implementation
- A minimum of 5 years experience in solution architecture
- At least 2 years experience in enterprise architecture in a Retail organisation
- Excellent understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and management
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital strategy development and IT operations and governance management
- Fluent in data technologies such as data governance tooling data platform technologies and enterprise architecture principles
