Job Summary
ASSYST is seeking an experienced UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator with 10 years of hands-on experience supporting large-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) environments. The role focuses on operational support system maintenance automation security compliance and performance optimization across approximately 300 Linux servers in a 24x7 enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer maintain and support enterprise Linux systems (RHEL 8/9)
- Perform Linux server builds custom configurations and OS patching
- Execute quarterly Red Hat patching to meet PCI and security compliance requirements
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents in a timely manner
- Remediate OS security vulnerabilities identified through regular audits
- Develop and maintain automation using Ansible playbooks
- Manage and upgrade Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite 6
- Provide performance tuning support for Oracle database servers
- Support server migrations and infrastructure changes
- Monitor Linux environments using SolarWinds
- Participate in rotating 24x7 on-call Unix/Linux support
- Maintain technical documentation and interface with IT and business stakeholders
- RHEL Linux 8/9 administration and patch management
- Linux server builds and custom configurations
- Ansible automation and playbook development
- Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite 6 management
- Server security and vulnerability remediation
- Oracle database server performance tuning
- SolarWinds monitoring
- VMware operational knowledge
- Server migration experience
- Advanced Linux troubleshooting skills
- Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge in firewalled environments
