DescriptionProvide a safe and secure environment for guests vendors and employees of Cherokee Nation Businesses (CNB).
Responsibilities- Provides protection for the physical assets of CNB facilities including guests vendors and employees; reports all safety hazards to leadership.
- Prevents individuals from entering premises with prohibited items; addresses individuals who are in violation of policies and procedures.
- Patrols the physical facilities of CNB facilities including interior and exterior areas.
- Greets guests and provides directions and assistance as needed.
- Provides aid to any guest or employee who may request or require it.
- Responds to accidents and incidents; performs CPR and first aid procedures as needed.
- Detects suspicious activity and behavior of individuals and employees and notifies leadership.
- Maintains a good working relationship with local law enforcement agencies and fire and safety departments.
- Gathers information and prepares detailed written reports of incidents and maintains security logs in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Performs operational knowledge of excluded persons.
- Prepares written reports of investigations criminal and patrol activities.
- Interviews witnesses and obtains signatures; complies with legal regulations.
- Monitors cameras in all areas of facility as assigned by location.
- No supervisory/management authority.
- Work may be performed in a variety of settings including climate-controlled office settings and/or outdoors in all types of weather.
- Work may require lifting and carrying materials up to 50lbs.
- Work requires working varied shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and six (6) months of security experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement Education and Training (CLEET) armed security guard license required.
- Ability to acquire a Cherokee Nation Armed Security Officer license.
- Working knowledge of firearms and defensive tactics.
- Working knowledge of surveillance video system and how chain of evidence is maintained.
- Ability to pass a security approved custody control and weapons training.
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license.
NOTE: this job is a safety sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or for active employees termination even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.
