Registered Nurse Acute Care Unit
Cary Medical Center has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Acute Care Unit.
In this role youll provide patient-centered care by recognizing individual needs related to age culture and learning styles. You will support both organizational and unit standards while fostering a collaborative and cooperative environment with a strong focus on customer service.

Duties Include but are not limited to:
- Completes admission assessment and recognizes actual and potential health problems.
- Completes admission assessment within 8 hours of admission (provisions made/documented i.e. Functional/Cognitive Status).
- Completes nursing assessment on assigned patients promptly and adequately within an hour to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
- Performs medication list verification upon admission along with review of allergies.
- Continuously assesses patient response to illness intervention and use of critical thinking to problem solve. Documents completely and accurately.
- Effectively utilizes telemetry and camera systems.
- Must have an active valid Maine RN license.
- Meets the units annual competency training requirements.
- Obtains BLS certification within 3 months and maintain certification thereafter.
- Complete Basic Cardiac Course within one year of hire to department.
Schedule:
- Schedule is determined by the manager based on unit needs.
- With consideration to our patients and staff needs you may need to work on days evenings nights weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other units.
