PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness hygiene and general upkeep of the facility. This role contributes to a safe clean and well-maintained environment by carrying out regular cleaning duties and performing light maintenance and repair work across the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize all areas of the company including offices restrooms break rooms and common areas
- Dust sweep mop and vacuum floors and carpets
- Empty trash and recycling bins
- Restock supplies such as paper towels toilet paper and soap
- Notify management of any maintenance or repair needs
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
The ideal person for the job:
Essential
- Previous experience in cleaning and/or general maintenance roles.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Good time management and reliability
Desirable
- Relevant certifications (e.g. WHS Working with Children Check First Aid).
- Experience in a similar facility setting (e.g. school office aged care).
- Basic knowledge of maintenance systems and materials.
- Working Conditions:
- Physical role involving standing lifting and manual work.
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment.
