GDS Hungary - Senior Accountant - Internal Finance team

EY GDS (Global Delivery Services) means 40.000 specialists providing globally IT finance project management and strategic business services to EY member addition we deliver support and solutions to clients from all over the world.

The opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Finance Senior Accountant who will join our local finance team based in Budapest.
You will have a great opportunity to cooperate with group finance and local management team.

Your key responsibilities:

Efficient and accurate processing AP/AR and GL transactions in a timely manner

Assuring invoice compliance with tax/legal rules and accounting standards

Fixed Assets Register recording and resolving issues with additions retirements disposals; posting depreciation charges

Closing monthly accounting periods to ensure that all information is entered into the companys accounting ledger accurately

Perform all month-end intercompany closing activities in a timely manner

Balance sheet account reconciliations preparation

Providing support for internal and external audits

Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements through the maintenance of organized accounts and records in accordance with EY procedures

Responding to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner

Improving existing processes.

Proceed with ad hoc analysis and reporting requests

Skills and attributes for success:

Bachelors degree in Finance

3 years of experience in a similar role

Knowledge of IFRS and Hungarian Accountancy regulations

Good command of CIT and VAT regulations necessary to perform daily duties enumerated in job description

Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications

Strong organization and time-management skills deadline orientation

Fluency in Hungarian and Intermediate English (written and spoken)

Positive can-do attitude with agile approach to work

Culturally sensitive capable of handling interactions with a global mindset
