Position Overview
At Foundation Building Materials (FBM) Accounts Receivable Specialists are a dynamic group of individuals that are capable of multi-tasking while ensuring that the company receives payment for goods and services offered to clients in accordance with company policy & procedures while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction to both external and internal customers. The ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist will thrive in a fast paced growing company and enjoys the challenges of developing a solid corporate foundation. Responsibilities and Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Prepares posts verifies and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable from ACH Branch Deposit Credit Card Lock Boxes and Wire transfers
- Use 3rd party High Radius Cash Application payment platform
- Customer Account Maintenance & Communication
- Maintains and updates customer files including name or address changes mergers or mailing attentions
- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees
- Reporting Research & Reconciliation
- Creates reports regarding the current status of customer accounts as requested
- Researches customer discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Credit Managers and other staff
- Collaborates with the Credit Managers to reconcile accounts receivable on a periodic basis
- Assists Accounting and Treasury Managers in reconciling accounts every month
- Administrative & Records Management
- Copies files and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed
- Miscellaneous
- Support our values in the stand areas of Safety Customer Focus Teamwork Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred
- Experience in leading pricing projects and initiatives from concept to implementation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and accounting software programs
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- At least one year of related experience preferred

Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
