Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Radiographer to join our team in Towson United States. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality CT scans to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Operate CT scanning equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to radiation protection guidelines and ALARA principles
- Position patients accurately for optimal image acquisition
- Explain procedures to patients and address their concerns to ensure comfort during scans
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize imaging protocols
- Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment reporting any issues promptly
- Accurately document patient information and scan details in the hospital information system
- Participate in quality assurance activities to maintain imaging standards
- Stay current with advancements in CT technology and imaging techniques
Qualifications :
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT certification in Computed Tomography
- Current state radiologic technologist license
- Proficiency in operating CT scanning equipment and related software
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
- Excellent patient positioning skills and attention to detail
- Ability to assess image quality and make necessary adjustments
- Experience with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System)
- In-depth understanding of human anatomy and pathology
- Knowledge of various CT protocols for different diagnostic procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry advancements
