Data Modeler for an opportunity with our client in the banking industry in Columbia SC.
Work arrangement:
Hybrid: Onsite Tuesday Wednesday Thursday.
W2 position; 6 months Data Modeler responsibilities:
Define and develop data modeling practices standards and guidelines
Create and manage conceptual logical and physical data models and metadata by working with stakeholders and others
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business units to capture data needs and translate them into model specifications
Collaborate with the development teams to ensure the database design meets application requirements
Conduct data analysis and quality assurance to ensure data integrity and consistency
Implement database schema changes and modifications
Document data models metadata data flows and data dictionaries
Provide technical support and guidance to users
Participate in model reviews
Train developers and others in modeling Required knowledge skills and abilities:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field
4 years of experience in data modeling
Experience with data modeling tools like Erwin or ER/Studio
Experience with SQL
Experience with databases such as Oracle SQL Server or MySQL
Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts
Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing platforms such as AWS (S3 Redshift) Snowflake Databricks
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment About the client:
