The Virginia Department of Health- Chesapeake District is seeking a detail-oriented administrative professional with strong multi-tasking and analytical skills to provide clerical and administrative support to the Baby Care and LTSS Programs. These roles duties include performing a variety of clerical and administrative support tasks such as typing filing reception scheduling appointments making reservations sorting mail transcribing receiving occasional guidance in support of a higher level administrative technical or professionals. On the day-to-day tasks routinely require discretion and interpretation of guidelines procedures or processes. Administrative functions to include but not limited to providing support assistance and demonstrating sound customer service to internal and external clients. Answer screen and directing inbound phone calls create and address referrals for the programs by gathering all pertinent demographic information for home visits and/or screening appointments. Works collaboratively to maintain on-going communication with multidisciplinary team within the health department and with the Department of Social Services as well as other community stakeholders for these programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to follow established policies and procedures
Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
Knowledge and demonstrated skill of basic computer applications and other
automated systems
Strong skills in using Microsoft Office Products such as word excel and
PowerPoint
