Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Work Study to serve the School of Public Affairs in a receptionist capacity. Job duties would include but are not be limited to greeting visitors retrieving and distributing the mail maintaining the lobby and assisting others as required. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Undergraduate student with Federal Work-Study award as part of Financial Aid package; with UA Little Rock a screenshot or printout is required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office;

  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office;

  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens forms and brochures);

  • Provide basic and accurate information;

  • Retrieve and distribute the mail and packages;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Good written communication skills;

  • Professional speaking skills;

  • Ability to search for and provide information regarding the University of Arkansas Little Rock and the School of Public Affairs.
