PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for evaluation planning directing and administering speech/language pathology evaluation and intervention to patients with communication and swallowing disorders as referred by a licensed provider.
Administer treatments as determined by the evaluation in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following disease or injury.
Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
Assist to develop clinical programs for optimum patient care and service.
Participate in operational aspects performance improvement and Quality.
Improvement activities within the department. Provide input in formulating budget assist in evaluation of departmental performance and take action to remain in budget guidelines.
Ensure that patient charges and documentation are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
Participate in infection control equipment training compliance safety and educational programs both at the departmental and organizational level.
REQUIREMENTS
Licensed by the State of Washington as a Speech Language Pathologist
AND
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders or equivalent degree approved by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
AND
A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.
