Job Summary

Schedule: 1st shift : Monday- Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Compensation: $18.50/h - $21.50/h Quarterly Incentive Bonus Overtime Opportunities

This is a hybrid role itll be 60% Finishing and Hand File work and 40% Chemical Etch work.

ESSENTIAL FINISHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform somewhat diversified operations to smooth and finish generally simple castings. Remove parting lines flash positive metal and other surface defects.
Use hand grinder abrasive tools and a variety of standard hand tools. Select and change tools as necessary to meet requirements of each job.
Visually check casting surfaces for flaws and other defects.
Smooth surfaces blend contours and other features where surface finish and dimensional tolerances are not usually critical. Exercise care to avoid damage through mishandling or over-finishing of both exterior and interior surfaces.
Detect faulty operations defective material and report these and any unusual conditions to supervisor.
Must comply with all applicable safety requirements policies and procedures while maintaining a clean safe and orderly work environment.
Must participate in required training medical monitoring safety and health evaluations and programs.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility.
*Perform all physical functions of position; standing stooping bending sitting walking twisting kneeling turning and lifting of materials up to 35 lbs.
Meet established attendance standards.
Work overtime as needed.
Must report any work-related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL CHEMICAL ETCH DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

SUMMARY:

Responsible for processing parts through clean line etch and passivation electropolish and Kolene in accordance with customer specifications.

Processes parts through electropolish passivation and etch.
Tests and monitors chemical processing tanks to ensure correct concentrations.
Maintains lot integrity.
Ensures paperwork is properly done.
Helps other areas as needed and performs other duties as required.

Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Must comply with all applicable safety requirements policies and procedures while maintaining a clean safe and orderly work environment.
Must participate in required training medical monitoring safety and health evaluations and programs.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all designated areas of facility.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment while working in Etch area face shield apron gloves designated boots.
Perform all physical functions of position standing stooping bending sitting walking twisting kneeling turning and lifting of materials up to 25 lbs. continuously.
Work overtime as needed.
Must report any work-related injury or illness immediately to your direct supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Meet individual productivity requirements.
Meet internal quality requirements.
Communicate effectively with co-workers.
Comply with company and departmental policies and procedures including companys attendance policy.

NORMAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work required with toxic or caustic chemicals.
Environmental conditions encountered frequently are working near or with hazardous waste. May be required to take hazardous waste training.
Requires continuous work in areas with non-weather-related wet or humid conditions fumes or airborne particles.

*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk twist turn talk and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit kneel stoop bend and use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
