Practice Setting (Inpatient/Outpatient/Clinic/Rounding/Admitting): Simultaneous coverage and physician oversight of three services: Inpatient Palliative Medicine Consult Service and outpatient Palliative Medicine Clinic Practice and home-based Hospice Care service.
Call Ratio: Average number of calls/pages between 7PM and 7AM is one. Average number of calls/pages between 7AM and 7PM is 10.
Average Number of Patients Per Day: Average inpatient consult service census is 12-18 patients. Patients are split between physician and an advance practice providers on the inpatient service.
