Job Summary:
The Cardiac Sonographer will perform approximately 5 adult and pediatric echocardiogram exams per day. The role requires on-call responsibilities including night and weekend call rotation and weekend work.
Location:Lubbock Texas United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform adult and pediatric echocardiogram exams.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Perform any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Adult/Pediatric Echo Certification
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Vascular Certification
Special Considerations:
- On-call required including night and weekend call rotation.
- Weekend work required.
Scheduling:
- Start date: April
- Duration: 8 weeks with a possible 1-year extension
