Job details:

Position: MRI Technologist
Location : York ME 03909
Duration : 3 months (Possibly Extension)

Shift : Sunday Wednesday and Saturday 12 hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm

Pay range : $50/hour to $55/hour

Job-specific duties include but are not limited to:

Performs procedures for MRI (using and building protocols)
Screens patient for any contraindications pertaining to exam and to follow any necessary Safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols
Interviews patient to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures to address patient concerns and exhibits a high degree of tact courtesy and poise when interacting with patients staff and visitors
Educates patient on procedures and answer any questions
Ensures patient and staff safety including explaining safety protocol requesting removal of hazardous metal objects and alerting staff of danger or carrying metal around magnet
Monitors patients at all times visually and verbally
Operates other equipment necessary for daily duties and patient care
Maintains a clean and orderly environment for promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers
Maintains and reports on equipment status
Helps monitor inventory
Perform other related duties as necessary

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: Associates Degree or Certificate from Two-year college University or Certificate based program.
Required Licensed/Certification/Registration: ARRT registered.
BCLS certification obtained within 4 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
