Summary:
-
Collaborate with internal engineering/manufacturing teams and external suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
-
Monitor supplier/subcontractor quality activities conduct source inspections audits and due diligence and review vendor qualifications.
-
Lead root cause investigations corrective/preventive actions (8D 5-Why FMEA Fault Tree) and process improvement initiatives.
-
Ensure documentation compliance and maintain active approvals and certifications for suppliers/subcontractors.
-
Perform First Article Inspections (AS9102) and manage non-conforming product disposition (MRB).
-
Support US Department of Defense programs and maintain AS9100 Quality Management compliance.
-
Communicate effectively with stakeholders across Engineering Manufacturing Program Management Finance suppliers and customers.
Requirements:

Clearance: Ability to obtain (not required to start)
-
Bachelors degree in Aerospace Mechanical Electrical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
-
Experience with quality engineering standards procedures methods and control plans.
-
Knowledge of Design/Process FMEA and procedure compliance assessments.
-
Ability to interpret drawings specifications and industry standards.
-
Familiarity with inspection methods for electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.
-
Experience with supplier quality assurance MRB and corrective action processes.
-
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and solve problems collaboratively.
-
Understanding of AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams SharePoint Project Visio).
-
Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
-
Knowledge of special processes and daily supplier management.
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
