Save the Children International has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Global Change SCUS FMS Transition to join our global team
Team purpose
A robust Financial Management System (FMS) is essential for the efficient operation of any organization. Across SCI and several Members we currently use an FMS originally designed for SCI and later extended to opt-in Members. Due to our vendors transition from an on-premises solution to a SaaS model we initiated a tender process and selected Oracle FMS as the new global solution. This system will support across SCA including all SCI entities and multiple Members. SCUS has committed to migrating to this shared FMS with go-live planned for 2027.
To deliver this change a global project has been established to design and implement the solution across all participating entities. Given SCUSs size and complexity its local implementation must be managed effectively to minimize operational risk and maximize the value of this significant investment.
The SCUS FMS Transition Project will work in close partnership with the Global FMS Project to ensure successful delivery of the global solution within SCUS. The approach will prioritize off-the-shelf functionality and global alignment wherever possible while ensuring SCUS-specific requirements are understood and addressed.
Role purpose
The Global Change Manager will be accountable for understanding the context and identifying and incorporating stakeholders into the change plan and ensuring its successful deployment across our Country Offices and Members. They will be responsible for assessing the impact of change resulting from the proposed CVA solution and implementation options in terms of our people processes data technology policy & governance as well as our global legal requirements. They will work closely with individual the wider Digital Programming Team to agree priorities develop robust change plans and monitor progress against these plans. There will be a need to consider the change implications and approach not only directly on the stakeholders but also on the wider organisation to manage the change successfully and embed new practices and ways of working.
The role holder will be responsible for managing the Change Management deliverables as part of the defined Save the Children Project Lifecycle including e.g. a Stakeholder Matrix Change & Communications Plan and Change Impact Assessment etc. Core to this role will be ensuring effective alignment with wider transformation initiatives as well as effectively managing relationships with key stakeholders and driving continuous improvements. Externally the role may be required to work closely with third parties such as consultants and technology partners to understand and assess the impact of proposed ways of working approaches and time the role holder will be required to work alongside Regional Change Managers within Member offices embedding change at a global and collaboratively on a local level.
