Summary of Role
As a Market Sales Manager you are responsible for identifying and developing target accounts as well as nurturing existing client relationships to meet or exceed individual sales goals for revenue ADR and group business in the Atlanta area. The role involves proactive sales activities such as outside calls trade shows and site visits within your assigned market. Building long-lasting trusting relationships with clients GSOs and peers is essential. Additionally you must understand your role in achieving the hotels overall financial success. Hotels include The Tess Buckhead Element Atlanta Buckhead Springhill Suites Atlanta Downtown Tru by Hilton Atlanta Galleria Ballpark.
Essential Job Duties:
- Exceed established monthly quarterly and annual targeted sales goals.
- Maintain an active list of target accounts to ensure continuous relationship development.
- Establish new client relationships andmaintainsexisting relationships to maximize revenue.
- Activelysolicitsnew business opportunities through prospecting target clientlists.
- Seeks methods to penetrate key business activities within the market andfindsprofitable ways to bring this business to the hotel.
- Respond in a timely manner to incoming group sales opportunities that are within pre-defined parameters.
- Work collaboratively with other sales channels (-property resources) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated complementary and not duplicative.
- Capture and close the best opportunities for the property based on market conditions the propertys needs and within the hotel parameters.
- Coordinates and plans all familiarization tours (FAMs) in-market customer events and site inspectionsboth for out-of-market and in-market accountsensuring thorough communication with Event Management and effective data collection to support targeted planning while tracking bookings and leads generated from these activities.
- Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked. Transferaccurate complete andtimelyinformation to the Events departmentin accordance withhotel and brand standards.
- Effectively resolve guest issues that arise as a result of the sales issues to the attention of the property and sales leadership team asappropriate.
- Maintain knowledge of andcomply withdepartmental policies service procedures 4 Keys service standardsbrandguidelinesandsafety and security procedures.
- Perform alladditionalduties asassigned by management.

- Must have strategic planning skills; ability to translate financial concepts into actionable business strategies and tactics.

- Prioritize tasks work efficiently with limited supervision and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail speed and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively in the primary workplace languagedemonstratingexcellent communication follow-up and organizational skills.
- Work well under pressure and in challenging conditions using good judgment to resolve problems follow directions and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
Education: Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience of sales experience in area or market role with Marriott brand
Additional: Will be required to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
