You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum you will be doing:Responsible for designing and managing database systems and platforms for the organization. This role works with different LOB IT professionals and teams to ensure our data center platforms meet the needs of our organization and performance tuning debugging profiling analytics and / schema design database development practices and overall database architectures. Cloud database systems and platforms (SQLMI Azure SQL )Designing and maintaining enterprise relational and non-relational database with Business and IT roles on the solution design development and quality management of shared infrastructure systems and applications across organizational functionsWork with internal and external teams to increase client satisfaction by improving the quality of systems and products through identification of issues on-going maintenance and implementation of solutionsPerform hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of components including the maintenance upgrading or replacement of hardware and/or application softwareAssist in the maintenance of existing internal processes and quality system management documentation to uphold quality standardsInspect systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvements to workflow and enhanced efficienciesMonitor capacity usage and performance of assigned technologies to assure operational availability and process integrityProvide technical guidance to peers and/or end-users regarding technologies that enable continuous delivery of shared solutionsWhat you will bring:3 years of experience in IT;Contemporary database platform certifications Designing and maintaining enterprise relational and non-relational database platforms (focusing mainly on MS SQL Server SQL MI Azure SQL instances and Cosmos DB).Database performance tuning debugging profiling analytics and / schema design database development practices and overall database database systems and platforms (Azure SQL SQL MI Cosmos DB)Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in the following or related discipline: computer science computer systems engineering software engineeringStrong client focus with the ability to resolve inquiries efficiently and empathetically. Problem-solving skills to research and address complex issues. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with policies and best practices. Growth mindset with a proactive approach to process improvements and innovation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate and provide constructive feedback.
