We are supporting our long-term client WorkVentures in their search for a Junior Cyber Security Consultant to join their growing Cyber team.

The Role:

This is a permanent junior cyber security consulting role supporting assessments project coordination and client engagement for Not-for-Profit organisations across Australia.

Suited to someone early in their cyber career the role requires strong organisational skills proactive communication and the ability to translate cyber security concepts into practical actions for resource-constrained environments.

The role has a strong focus on supporting the Technology-Facilitated Abuse (TFA) project and organisations working with vulnerable communities and is consulting-focused across risk governance incident readiness awareness and delivery quality. This is not a SOC penetration testing or engineering role.

Youll be hands-on across:

  • Cyber security risk and vulnerability assessments
  • Policy governance and framework mapping (Essential Eight NIST ISO 27001)
  • Incident response readiness and tabletop exercises
  • Security awareness training and phishing simulations
  • Coordinating multiple client engagements using Asana
  • Preparing clear client-ready reports and recommendation

As the cyber function grows youll also contribute to process improvement templates reporting and future Cyber Cadet programs.

Were looking for someone who has 1 - 3 years experience (or equivalent via study placements or certifications) is highly organised communicates proactively writes clearly and enjoys working with non-technical stakeholders. You should have a genuine interest in mission-driven Not-for-Profit work and be comfortable developing expertise in Technology-Facilitated Abuse (TFA) in sensitive survivor-centred contexts.
