Job Summary
Description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Environmental Program Implementation
- Develop implement and maintain site environmental programs(air water waste and energy management) aligned with corporate EHS policies and ISO 14001 standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws permits and regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for environmental performance and sustainability.
2. WWTP & STP Governance
- Oversee the operation and compliance of WWTP and STP systems.
- Monitor effluent quality ensure adherence to discharge limits and manage reporting to regulatory authorities.
- Conduct periodic audits and risk assessments for treatment facilities.
- Implement preventive and corrective actions for system reliability and compliance.
3. Waste Management
- Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste programs including segregation storage transportation and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with waste handling regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Drive waste minimization and recycling initiatives to support sustainability targets.
- Drive sustainability projects and lead the Site Green Team to achieve site-level goals
4. Regional Support
- Coordinate with Location EHS Support to deploy selected/applicable Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs across APAC offices and labs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations global standards and corporate requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments incident investigations audits and provide technical guidance.
5. Governance & Reporting
- Maintain environmental performance metrics and prepare monthly/quarterly reports for site and regional leadership.
- Support corporate sustainability reporting and environmental data management systems.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and external auditors as required.
6. Training & Awareness
- Conduct EHS trainings for site and regional employees.
- Promote EHS awareness and best practices across all supported locations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Occupational Safety and Health Environmental Engineering Chemical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in EHS with a strong focus on environmental compliance and systems.
- Hands-on experience with WWTP STP operations and waste management.
- Knowledge of ISO local environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple sites and functions.
Preferred Certifications:
- Certified EHS Professional or equivalent.
- Safety and Health Officer(SHO)
- Radiation Protection Officer(RPO)
- ISO 14001/45001 Lead Auditor certification.
- WWTS STP and Waste Management Certification (where applicable)
- CePSWaM: Certified Environmental Professional in Scheduled Waste Management
- CePIETSO-PCP/BP: Certified Environmental Professional in Industrial Effluent Treatment Systems (Physical Chemical/Biological Processes)
- CePSTPO: Certified Environmental Professional in Sewage Treatment Plant Operation.
