REACH Program & Regis High School Mission Statements
REACH through a transformative middle school program empowers high-achieving young men from underserved communities as Catholic leaders committed to faith scholarship and service. REACH is a free summer-and-Saturday enrichment program for middle-school boys designed to enhance students academic and leadership skills. Through our advanced curriculum REACH prepares its students to win scholarships and financial aid to the most selective Catholic high schools in the New York City area including Regis High School.
Regis High School transforms Catholic young men through an academically exceptional Jesuit education in a caring community which inspires leadership generosity and a lifelong passion for service as Men for Others. Regis is tuition free and merit based giving special consideration to families in need of financial assistance.
The Opportunity
REACH is seeking motivated young men who are in college for employment in its summer sessions. Collegians serve as student dorm prefects advisement group leaders study skills teachers academic advisors and recreation activity directors. Most importantly they serve as mentors to their advisees.
This year the summer session consists of a 3-week academic term at either Fordham University (for our Candidates) or the University of Scranton (for our 2nd 3rd and 4th Year students). Both camps occur from (July 6 July 25) and Collegians work only these three weeks.
Role Responsibilities
Supervise and mentor a cohort of approximately twelve REACH students
Lead students through daily academic and recreational programming
Serve as a primary role model and consistent point of contact for students
Act as a liaison between students and REACH leadership and faculty
Advance and uphold the mission of the REACH Program
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership responsibility and initiative
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-based environment
Cultural competence and professional maturity
Strong collegiate academic record
Personal attributes including patience empathy flexibility and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with middle schoolaged students
Skills talents or interests that may enrich student programming
Proficiency in Spanish
Other Expectations
Willingness to support and advance the Catholic and Jesuit mission of the school through all interactions
Work in collaboration with the administration in observing the principles and ideals for which REACH and Regis High School stands
Assume all other duties as assigned by REACH leadership
The REACH program expects one to conduct oneself at all times in a manner which shall not bring reproach upon oneself or REACH

Compensation & Application Timeline
This position pays $2000.00 for the 3-week session. Collegians will be provided with room and board at no cost. All program specific transportation is covered.
