As a Software Engineer III-Full Stack/Cloud Foundation Services at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate Technologys Research Development and Innovation team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on research to explore new technologies and develop innovative solutions for Research Development and Innovation initiatives
• Create and refine prototypes and pilot programs to demonstrate and validate the potential of new technologies rapidly iterating to enhance functionality and performance
• Design and develop high-quality technology solutions tailored to the needs of incubator or innovation programs leveraging expertise in distributed and cloud-native systems to build robust scalable platforms
• Document technical specifications designs and best practices and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with peers technology leaders engineers and architects actively participating in major technical decisions and developing well-considered technical proposals
• Apply proven innovation frameworks to guide technology development evaluate emerging technologies and recommend optimal solutions for future state architecture

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 3 years of applied experience
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and platforms including microservices containers IaaS storage security and identity
• Demonstrable skills in rapid prototyping and methods to shorten development cycles for platforms software and AI/ML products
• Experience in any one of the IaC - Terraform Cloud formation or Azure resource manager
• Experience in anyone of the languages - Python/Java/Golang DevOps (CI/CD Agentic Development) Container Orchestration (EKS ECS) Serverless technologies databases (RDBMS NO-SQL) Cloud Monitoring tools
• Experience in understanding of LLM Agentic AI A2A MCP and others
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Passion for technology and innovation CAN-DO attitude with a commitment to driving positive change within the organization

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

• Experience in Pulumi OpenTofu and any other IaC platforms
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer TFE Associate Certification AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Google Developer Certification Azure Developer Certification or similar
• Understanding of financial services industry trends open source in finance regulatory requirements and the competitive landscape.
