Thermal Insulator

Job Summary

The Thermal Insulator is responsible for installing maintaining and repairing insulation systems on mechanical and industrial installations to control temperature conserve energy reduce noise and protect personnel and equipment. The role involves working with a range of insulation materials on pipework ducting vessels boilers and plant equipment in accordance with technical drawings specifications and health & safety candidate will be available for work throughout Europe. Contracts will be a minimum of 55 hours per week 6 or 8 weeks on 1 or 2 weeks off. Transport and accommodation will be provided. Single room accommodation where available additional 10 euro per day for sharing accommodation. Upcoming projects in Spain Portugal Sweden Germany Netherlands and Denmark. Ideally candidates will have experience in data centres marine and oil and gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Install thermal acoustic and fire-resistant insulation on:
  • Pipework (hot & cold services)
  • Ductwork and HVAC systems
  • Vessels tanks boilers and plant equipment
• Measure cut shape and fit insulation materials accurately
• Apply insulation materials including:
  • Mineral wool
  • Phenolic and PIR
  • Foam glass
  • Armaflex and elastomeric insulation
• Fit cladding and finishes (aluminium stainless steel PVC or galvanised)
• Read and interpret technical drawings isometrics and specifications
• Ensure all work complies with project quality standards and specifications
• Follow site health safety and environmental procedures at all times
• Work efficiently to meet project deadlines and productivity targets
• Inspect completed work for quality and compliance
• Maintain tools equipment and a clean safe working area
• Liaise with supervisors engineers and other trades as required
