The Hospital volunteer offers community engagement by providing magazines and a friendly chat to hospital patients at Fremantle good social connections is essential for all aspects of health especially as we age. Red Cross supports people who are older or have a disability or illness. Volunteers are needed to be a friendly face and provide magazines and a chat helping patients feel comfort during their visit or stay within the opportunityFor this role you will need good conversational skills and the ability to relate to and empathise with a broad range of people including those with different lived experiences abilities and Cross will ensure you have training ongoing support and access to other opportunities within the worlds largest humanitarian impactAs a volunteer you will help vulnerable people to feel safe and improve their social connection by listening empathising and providing them with a friendly voice.
