Position Title: J1 Millwright Maintenance Technician (CCF)Columbus MSPay Rate: $41.17/hourCategory/Shift: Hourly Full-Time / Our maintenance technicians generally work a four day 10-hour scheduleMonday through Thursday 7:00am to 5:30pm with every fourth Friday scheduled as an 8-hour day (7:00am-3:30pm).About The Role:This position supports International Papers Columbus Cellulose Fibers (CCF) facility located in Columbus Mississippi. CCF is a vital part of IPs Global Cellulose Fibers Business. This is a J1 level Millwright Maintenance Technician position in an advanced team-based work system. Successful candidates should have the desire and ability to complete scheduled and routine maintenance tasks in a continuous-process industry. Position Responsibilities:Were looking for strong multi-skilled candidates with in-depth maintenance knowledge and practical application experience in areas such as:Application installation and replacement of tapered and straight bore bearingsRigging and setting of heavy equipment and machineryPrecision alignment of equipment and machineryInstallation and repair of centrifugal process pumpsInstallation and maintenance of mechanical sealsInstallation and repair of mechanical drives speed reducers clutches and repair of belt drag screw and other mechanical conveyor systemsInstallation and repair of hydraulic systems and componentsSetting and alignment of large electrical motorsInstallation repair and alignment of rotary and centrifugal compressorsInstallation repair and alignment of boiler feedwater pumpsInstallation repair and alignment of steam turbines and drivesInstallation and repair of agitators and mixersMaintenance of high and low pressure steam systemsInstallation and repair of shafts bearing fits etc. (light to moderate machining)Boring couplings cutting keyways and cutting with oxy-acetyl torch including cutting bearings from shaftsMaintenance repair welding using arc MIG and/or TIG processesInstallation and repair of process piping systems valves supports skills including use of drawings diagrams and manualsPreventive and predictive maintenance on critical equipmentAbout You: Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:Must be at least age 18High school diploma GED or equivalent work experienceFormal technical/trade school training (or equivalent experience) in mechanical maintenanceThree or more years verifiable industrial experience as a J1 Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianPrevious multi-skilled maintenance experienceMust possess high standards in the areas of safety quality ethics craftsmanship customer focus and leadership in maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical related equipment and process problemsAble to work around hazardous chemicals with appropriate personal protective equipment and to work flexible hours including weekends and shifts as business needs written and verbal communication Math and Computer Mechanical to develop career completion of a pre-employment drug screen physical and background to lift/handle 50 pounds occasionally and 2 20 pounds regularlyAble to climb steps and ladders enter small vessels work from heights turn large valves stand or walk for 2 3 hours at a time for 10 12 hours work in extreme temperatures (hot/cold) in a noisy environment while wearing all required personal protective :Two year Associate Degree in any of the Core Millwright Maintenance skills or related mechanical disciplines.
