We specialise in infrastructure construction with a strong focus on reinforced concrete. Our current projects span a wide range including bridges wharves water treatment plants storage tanks and pipelines.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pavements Site Engineer in the heavy civil space to join our successful team on the O Mahurangi Penlink Alliance.

If you enjoy working in a fast paced environment with some of the best in the industry then this is the role for you. Reporting into a Project Engineer your ability to build and maintain effective relationships with sub-contractors and manage site construction activities is essential. You will work beside a talented experienced team receiving mentoring from some of the best in the industry. Enjoy the opportunity to develop your career on this major project.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing support to the Project Engineers Structures Manager and the team on the ground
Ongoing daily interaction with the client and consultants
The ability to multitask across multiple stages of the project and a variety of contractors at any one time
Organising and executing technical matters including building to the plans material requisitioning plant requirements and safety
Ensuring quality control
General site operations and administrative duties
Communicating technical information effectively between stakeholder groups including various engineering technical construction operations and project groups

Were looking for someone with:

Minimum 3 years experience in heavy civil construction or major infrastructure projects including at least 3 years as a Civil Engineer. Pavements experience is essential!
Tertiary qualification in civil engineering (BE NZCE or Diploma).
Ability to plan and develop construction methodologies and works programmes.
Proven subcontractor management and resource optimisation (materials plant labour).
