Job Summary
Position Overview
TheSystemsEngineering Studentposition is a greathybridopportunity ( 3 days from our Saskatoon office)to work with an experienced technical team on thedesignand testing of satellite communications and network management systems built with leading edge technology.
You will work with a team that includes Systems Engineers and software developers. Students areusually initially tasked with testing often using scripts to automate repetitive may also be involved in other phases of projects including requirements capture requirements analysis system design verification testing and customer interaction.
Duration 12-16 months.
Responsibilities
Specific to Satellite Planning and Management Solutions
Specifying designing and testingsatellite resource planning and managementsoftwaresystems that are used to dynamically manage and optimize advanced satellite onboard communication payloads powering world-leading satellite communication networks that touch every aspect of life from air travel to military theatres.
Specific to Network Management Solutions:
Specifying designing and testingproducts used to manage satellite broadcast telecommunications and cable networks. Our latest tools use cloud-native microservices architectures and are extensible high-performance and highly available.
Qualifications
Successfulcompletion of three years inanElectrical EngineeringEngineering Physicsor Computer Engineeringdegreeprogram
The ability to integrate well into a team environment to quickly solve complex problems and to easily adapt to new technologies
Experience withanyof the following is considered an asset:
Programming languages such as Java and C
Scripting languages such as Python and bash
Testing of software systems
RF circuit design
RF test and measurement equipment
