Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions
- Perform endoscopic procedures and other diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to create comprehensive treatment plans
- Educate patients on health management and preventive care
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and hepatology
- Participate in continuing education and training programs
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine
- Fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Basic understanding of electronic medical record systems
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Hawaii
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Call shifts available
New service line
No actual transplant program so will be doing clinic work
Endos are a bonus
Support Staff: 9 GIs 1 NP 1 PA
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
