Job Summary
dormakaba is seeking a Procurement Manager based in Nogales MX. The Procurement Manager works closely with the Plant Manager Accounting Manufacturing New Product Development and Supply Management and has responsibility for communication and coordination between Supply Management and the factory to ensure the uninterrupted flow of parts to meet production schedule. They will ensure the achievement of departmental goals including production quality safety and cost objectives and develop and review reports and financial statements to determine progress toward objectives. Reporting to this position are the Planning Supervisor Purchasing Supervisor and Materials Analyst.
What you will do
- Manage plant tactical buyers and supply base to ensure uninterrupted flow of materials into the plant and support and Manage the Supply Planning Function within the S&OP cycle
- Review and monitor supplier delivery schedules lot sizing parameters supplier lead times safety stocks and other types of parameters to optimize inventory
- Support Plant Warehousing and Receiving teams towards inventory accuracy goals and productivity and monitor and prevent obsolescence of inventory and make recommendations regarding disposition
- Establish accountability and goals of Buyers and support procurement cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain adherence to company policies including health safety environmental and security and create and maintain operation budgets.
- Support and Lead Plant Achievement of operational KPIs (OTD Lead Times Plant productivity Labor Utilization Past Due Mitigation Inventory/DIO Targets)
What we require
- Bachelors Degree
- 7 years professional experience in manufacturing or materials management environment
- 10 years of demonstrated supervisory and management experience
- Knowledge of MRP JIT Inventory Management Master Scheduling and Supply Management
- Provide support and data for year-end audits working with Accounting
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
