QA Engineer (Mid-Level)

This is a remote position.

Were looking for a a Mid-Level Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer based in LATAM to support application quality through a mix of hands-on testing test automation and close collaboration with onshore QE manual QA and product engineering teams.

This role focuses on executing and maintaining quality coverage using shared tooling frameworks and best practices defined by the QE organization. You will contribute to both domain-specific testing efforts and QE-owned cross-team end-to-end (E2E) and regression suites while continuing to grow your automation and systems-level quality skills in a modernizing technology environment.

This is a 100% remote contractor role open to candidates in LATAM only.

What youll do:

Test Execution & Validation

• Execute manual and automated tests across web applications and APIs to validate new features and regression risk.
  

• Validate end-to-end workflows edge cases and error scenarios including cross-team flows owned by QE.
  

• Clearly document test results defects and reproduction steps to enable fast resolution.
  

• Participate in release validation and post-release verification activities alongside Manual QA and onshore QE.
  

Test Automation Contribution

• Contribute to QE-owned automation suites primarily using Playwright covering cross-cutting workflows and shared risk areas.
  

• Support domain-level automation efforts under the guidance of Senior QEs.
  

• Use shared frameworks utilities and testing patterns provided by the QE platform.
  

• Assist with triaging test failures and identifying flaky or unreliable tests.
  

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with onshore QEs Manual QA engineers and product partners across time zones.
  

• Ask thoughtful questions when requirements or expected behavior are unclear.
  

• Participate in standups grooming sessions retrospectives and quality discussions.
  

• Provide feedback on usability issues edge cases and potential product risks.
  

Growth & Continuous Learning

• Strengthen automation skills and understanding of test strategy and quality ownership.

Requirements

• 24 years of experience in QA Quality Engineering or Test Engineering roles.
  

• Hands-on experience testing web applications and APIs.
  

• Exposure to test automation ideally using Playwright.
  

• Basic scripting or programming experience (JavaScript TypeScript Python Java or similar).
  

• Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to testing.
  

• Comfortable working in English in a professional technical environment.
  

Nice to have

• Experience working with distributed or US-based teams.
  

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
  

• Experience testing complex data-heavy or multi-step workflows.
  

• Experience with desktop application testing using FlaUI or similar tools.
  

• Exposure to additional automation tools (Playwright Cypress)
